Dave RIP
One last comment about Dave. We had the funeral yesterday. It was a very moving service.
I've mentioned before that Jean and Dave had broken the terrible British taboo of not being able to talk about what happens afterwards. Amongst other things, Dave was able to say what he wanted to happen at the service, the music he wanted played and, most importantly, he was able to choose the hospice chaplain as the man he wanted to conduct the service.
He was a perfect choice. He had time in which to get to know Dave before he died and be able to articulate what he knew to paint a picture of Dave in our minds that we all recognised.
There were very few dry eyes in that service and I think we will all miss Dave in one way or another although Jean will miss him most of all.
